ABSTRACT: The Role of Project-Based Learning in Vocational Curriculum Development investigates the effectiveness of project-based learning (PBL) in enhancing vocational education outcomes. This study explores how PBL fosters practical skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities among vocational students. The objectives were: to assess the implementation and impact of PBL in vocational classrooms, to evaluate student engagement and learning outcomes through PBL experiences, and to propose strategies for integrating PBL into vocational curricula effectively. A survey design was chosen to gather comprehensive data from vocational educators, students, and industry stakeholders, providing insights into PBL practices and their educational benefits. A sample size of 200 respondents was selected using a purposive sampling technique to include participants with experience in PBL implementation and assessment. The case study focused on the Federal College of Agriculture, Ishiagu, Ebonyi State. Findings indicated that PBL improved student engagement, teamwork, and application of theoretical knowledge to real-world scenarios in vocational settings. It was recommended that vocational institutions should provide professional development for educators on PBL methodologies, allocate resources for project-based initiatives, and foster partnerships with industry to enhance authentic learning experiences for students.
